California climate change conference

Here's a link to a very interesting conference held in Sacramento, CA last week. The ecology talks are on Friday...there's one that documents a dramatic climate-and-human induced movement of the trailing edge of the Ponderosa Pine zone on the westside of the Sierra Nevada in the last 100 years...upslope. Also one about changes in subalpine habitats in the mountains of eastern California. Everything streams, very neat! If you click around you can find the agenda. Another interesting one is the presentation on Thursday about the effect of aerosols on local precipitation. Lots of other good ones too
