"Gaia Girls"
Has anyone here heard about the new children's book series, Gaia Girls, yet? The books are written for ages 9 and up, but I want to read them, too! I read about them at Treehugger.com today.

The new logo for the Elements is not a pentacle (below), so that removes any excuse for accusations of "witchcraft" or "satanism" from the fundie freaks. However, as Gaia is represented as "the living entity of the Earth," I'm sure they'll figure out some way to attack that premise. Anyway, it'll be fun to watch for controversy coming up.

Check it out:

That takes care of Christmas and birthday gifts for the coming year and more! :)

1. It sounds like a wonderful book to pick up as gifts for the upcoming....
holidays.

Although my one granddaughter is still a baby I think I'll pick it up for when she gets older and set it aside as I have other books I want her to have when she's older. B-)

It's too bad they felt they had to change the Pentacle logo... IMO Spirit is a very important (if not the most important) "element" to learn about as well. IME there is no pleasing fundies so why bother except sadly there are still many who don't understand and are afraid when they see a Pentacle.

Thanks for sharing this. It's never too early to teach children to be environmentally aware and caring. B-)
