ASPO-5 Speakers’ Presentations
For Your Pee Coiling Pleasure ...

The 5th ASPO (Association for the Study of Peak Oil) workshop was held in romantic (or is that italic) San Rossore, Italy, on June 18th and 19th, 2006. The presentations are available at this website, and most are in Acrobat (*.pdf) or PowerPoint (*.pps) format.

There’s got to be at least a couple of day’s worth of shits and giggles and high old times to be had reviewing the latest models, warnings, and proposals that we’ll promptly ignore from the ASPO Gang. Crack open a cold one and kick back with the knowledge that given our civilization’s usual inaction, our collective ass will soon be grass.

Here’s a list of the fun that can be had. Just click to the ASPO Italia web page and download the ones you want:

Kjell Aleklett: “A World Addicted to Oil”
Luca Barillaro: “New Financial Products, their Impact on the Oil Market”
Pierre-René Bauquis: “What Future for Hydrocarbons with the Incoming Peak of Oil and Gas?”
Jean-Marie Bourdaire: “Energy Scenarios to 2050”
Colin Campbell: “Peak Oil in Perspective”
Peter Gerling: “Coal, the Prime Energy Fuel of the Future?”
Folke Gunther: “Oil Depletion and Food Depletion”
Charles Hall: “EROI, the Key Variable in Assessing Alternative Energy Futures?”
Richard Heinberg: “The Oil Depletion Protocol”
Robert Hirsch: “Mitigation of Peak Oil”
Rob Hopkins: “Plan B, Enabling Relocalization as Response to Peak Oil”
Marek Kolodzej: “The North American Gas Crisis”
Jean Laherrere: “Uncertainty on Data and Forecast”
Jeremy Leggett: “Peak Oil, Climate Change and the Arithmetic of Carbon Fuels”
Andrew McKillop: “Oil Prices, the World Economy, and the Impossibility of Market Solutions”
Dennis Meadows: “Peak Oil and the Limits to Growth”
Paul Metz: “Peak Oil & (Big) Business”
Bertrand Michel: “A Probabilistic Model of the Hubbert Curve”
Francesco Racheli: “Technology Innovations Enabling Stranded Gas Utilization”
Greg Rock: “Using the Time Value of Energy”
Mamdouh G. Salameh: “Peak Oil and the Rising Crude Oil Prices”
Chris Sanders: “NATO: Out of Area, Out of Oil”
Chris Skrebowsky: “Peak Oil the Emerging Reality”
Ton Trjissenaar: “Jeu de Joule, A system Dynamics Model of the Earth’s Energy Game”
Terence Ward: “Iran and the US - Confrontation, Oil Disruption and the Impact”

It’s more fun than a barrel of Conspiracy Theorists!
