Pope Urges Better Care For Environment - ENN
CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy — Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday urged better care for the environment, saying it was being endangered by lifestyle choices causing its deterioration.

Such deterioration, the pontiff said during his traditional Sunday blessing, "make the lives of poor people on earth especially unbearable."

Benedict remarked that the Italian Catholic Church has chosen Sept. 1 to celebrate it (sic) first Earth Day.

Any news on your stance on contraception, Your Holiness?

Nah, I didn't think so either.

2. You got that right.
A little birth control and choice, not to mention respect for gay people, could go a long way.

3. Maybe it's in the Intelligent Design spec
You know the part that outlines how the human race will start to act intelligently ...

Isn't that what they mean by intelligent design??

4. What praying wont work?
:sarcasm:

Seriously, I guess I should be grateful because perhaps some of his followers will take environmental responsibility seriously now, but it's a little hard to take from this man.
