July Hottest Month Ever Recorded In Scotland - Scotsman.com
JULY was the hottest month ever in Scotland, with the highest average temperature since records began more than 90 years ago.

The Met Office said the average temperature in Scotland in July was 15.5C (59.9F) - ranging from 15C (59F) in the north to 15.8 (60.4F) in the south.

Although records for the entire month have not yet been finally collated, July is almost certain to beat the previously recorded hottest month, August 1947, when temperatures averaged 15.4C.

But although the month as a whole looked set to break new records, the highest recorded temperature for a single day - 31.3C at Prestwick on 19 July - failed to break the previous Scottish record of 32.9C recorded at Greycrook, St Boswells, in 1993.

1. Still nice and cool, though.
I would love to spend my summers there - 60 F is my ideal average temperature!
