Ice Update - 81-82 North - Continuing Thinning Above Svalbard - NOAA
Some big sections of the leading edge which were 4-6/10ths last week are now down to 1-3/10ths:



Nearly all of Franz Josef Land now down to 1-3/10ths coverage:



Beaufort Sea opening up - looks like about 30+ miles of 1/10th or less near the US-Canada border:

2. And we're still six weeks out from seasonal ice-extent lows
It'll be really interesting to see what Labor Day weekend and beyond bring.
