Right -- military might with shoot em up missiles is going to stop global warming.

We're talking about the Google advertisments that DU now has (you might have switched yours off - as a donor you have that option. I've left them on for a laugh). They are supposed to be context-specific - so in a thread about PV power you might expect an advertisment for BP solar - but sometimes the software throws out some very odd stuff.

'Delusional' has seen one relating to missile systems, which is a curious choice for an advert in a thread about a global warming program on PBS. I've just seen one encouraging me to invest in the Iraqi Dinar, which also doesn't fit.

None of which is about the program you posted. :)
My excuse is, that I don't have PBS, but I hope you found it informative. :D

7. Sorry -- I was just making a remark about the Google advertising

As if missiles can protect the environment -- I just found it so ironic that this new protection of the environment using words like defense triggered a google ad about missile "defense" -- or shoot - em - up -- and that fixes all problems.

The problems isn't from foreign invaders -- but from humans industrial etc. activity. Missile defenses aren't going to fix this problem.

Apparently the Google ads pick on key words to display ads -- I find some of the ads rather ironic or even humorous.

The missile google ad was what was showing when I looked at the page -- it was an oxymoronic ad linking.
