Calculated Soil Moisture Ranking Percentile, 9/4/2011
Droughts, fires, floods, dog and cats living together...

Figure 2. Observed soil moisture for Sunday Sep 4, 2011. Soil moisture is expressed in percent, with 50% being a historically average soil moisture level. Very dry soils, with moistures in the driest 1% - 30% in history (red and orange colors), were present over much of the south, where Lee dropped its heaviest rains. These dry soils have limited flooding damage. Image credit: N OAA Climate Prediction Center.

1. "God's Country" looks pretty dusty to me.
Are they being tested, punish, or is Satan tempting the East and West Coasts with water?

2. Obviously God hates Texas and Georgia...
and has plunged them into one of the burning circles of Hell.

3. Maybe Bachmann was right all along about gods wrath
unleashing an earthquake and a hurricane on us. At least our reservoirs are full.

If I recall correctly, Texas had a 7 year drought back in the 1950s that destroyed their cattle and agriculture industry. Perry better be praying overtime that this is not year ONE of a multi-year drought, or those longhorns are going to sadly disappear.
