“Investing in Efficiency” will examine ways to manage energy demand and advance technological ideas that may improve efficiency at every stage of the energy system. Discussion followed by Q&A with audience.

This is one of three morning plenary sessions that will serve as 'primers' on major issues we face in the global energy landscape. Scientists and advisors will share their expert insights on opportunities for innovation.

1. We structure our utility regulations to reward efficiency in CA--we have the lowest
per capita consumption in the states. Efficiency is the cheapest, easiest route to make sure we have the power we need at the least cost to the environment.
