This is an interesting plan that's floating around twitter. She's proposing to install autonomous water cannons on top of the nearby towers.
THE PLAN:
Utilize the 3 large exhaust towers as pumping stations and base/platform for the following
Mount industrial fire water cannons to be controlled remotely on top of these towers
Creation of “water spray curtains” via hoses with spray nozzles over the full distance - spanning the gaps between the towers and constantly creating a particle washing artificial rain acting as a screen to wash the exhausts
This adds an option to the cooling efforts – actually it could become the only one making sense!
Adding the vertical axis for better reach into corners and cracks of the buildings remains/piles of rubble- VERTICAL ACCESS also means- no moving around the building required and full time water flow, rather than a helicopters dropping something every few minutes and that with limited load!
Automate much of continuous work in the hazard zone - (resulting in "less" endangerment of human life due fewer repetitions of "on site exposures".)
