June: second warmest on record
Year-to-date, 2005 is 0.76°C above the long-term average (1951-1980), only 0.01°C below both 1998 and 2002.

3. Clarification: Anomolies not actual temperature.
The numbers in the chart represent anomolies from the 1951-1980 baseline. Thus, 76 on the chart represents 7.6 degrees above the baseline, not 76 degrees.
