The Great Lakes- a potential off shore wind farm gold mine
Yesterday I was reading articles about that large offshore wind farm in the North Sea and other related articles concerning offshore wind farms. I came across a map which showed which parts of the US had the best potential for electric power being generated by wind farms based on average wind speed and the Great Lakes was one of the best.

1. Yup, there is usually a goodly amount of wind here by
Lake Michigan. It's either coming off the lake (cooler) or coming off the land (warmer) but there is usually some kind of air movement. Sometimes it's so windy the lake roars so loud we can hear it 2 blocks away.
