Protesters quickly disbanded during Fiddler timber sale (OR)
<snip> Six protesters chained their arms together inside three concrete barrels early Monday morning, but law enforcement used dollies to move three barrels off to the side of the road, said protester Laurel Sutherlin, 27, from the Applegate Valley.

Another protester, suspended on a ropes tied to trees, was lowered and forced to jump from his perch, Sutherlin said.

A federal judge last week ruled that logging in the Siskiyou National Forest should continue because arguments presented by the Cascadia Wildlands Project to halt logging of the burned area, did not raise serious questions, and were not likely to prevail in a full trial.

Tom Lavagnino, spokesman for the Siskiyou National Forest said the protest was broken up by 7 a.m. and seven people were arrested. That brings the total number of protesters arrested since resistance to the logging began in two months ago to 55.
