The oil is running out: Mexican president
ruh roh!

MEXICO CITY -- Mexican President Felipe Calderon says Mexico's “is running out,” and calls the problem “very serious.”

Production is falling at Mexico's old, shallow-water offshore fields and the country has yet to exploit is potential deep-water reserves.

Calderon told the Televisa news network in an interview broadcast Tuesday that he still expected to be able to check the decline in oil output by next year, after his administration pushed through reforms aimed at spurring deep-water drilling.

Calderon says he's sure that by next year “we will be able to stabilize the oil production platform.”

1. A not 1 bit of the money from Mexico's State Owned Oil production
was used to build infustructure or education institutions. In other words, when the oil runs out - "Your Fucked"

6. The only surprise is we allow them to "Dump Unwanted Citizens"
into the United States because the "Rich Ruling Elite" in Mexico refuse to give up supreme control of Mexico's Wealth

2. I believe his first quote, but the second is Delta Sierra.
Stabilize production? Not f'ing likely. It's coming up on Revolution Time in Mexico. 1910 all over again. Watch for the emergence of a new Villa or Zapata within the next year.

5. I wrote an article about Mexico and peak oil two years ago
Mexico: Peak Oil in Action

I wrote it in September, 2007. In it I said we should expect the serious social fallout from declining Mexican oil production to start in 3 years. I figure that timing still holds.

There are still persistent rumours (mentioned in the article) of a string of detention camps build across the USA by KBR. I have no idea if they're true.

7. Thank you, Captain Obvious
Still, he's pulled his head out of the sand for a minute. That's a bonus.
