Need some help debunking the latest anti-warming BS
This morning, my local radio station had some guy on with a supposedly huge story where a bunch of emails obtained via FOIA has top scientists admitting to "cooking the books" when it comes to global warming - meaning, they were admitting in their emails that they had falsified global warming.

I'm sure if it is on this AM on my local station, then it will likely be on Rush later today, and on Fox News after that, as these guys do know how to crank up the echo chamber. In fact, one of the claims was that the scientists functioned like an echo chamber to build more & more fake evidence based on the previous fake evidence.

So, what's up with this story? I'm sure it's either completely false or way out of context, but want some facts.

Thanks

ANALYSIS-Hacked climate e-mails awkward, not game changer

Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:31pm EST

* Embarrassing climate e-mails will have limited impact

* Scientists behaving badly won't change evidence

* US climate bill to be decided on jobs it provides

By Timothy Gardner

WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Revelation of a series of embarrassing e-mails by climate scientists provides fodder for critics, but experts believe the issue will not hurt the U.S. climate bill's chance for passage or efforts to forge a global climate change deal.

Climate skeptics seized on the release of the e-mails as a game changer. The documents will speed the end of "global warming alarmism," said Myron Ebell, a climate change skeptic at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He said research that has been relied upon for official reports "is now very suspect."

But others say the damage may be limited as the evidence is still overwhelming that a buildup of greenhouse gases is melting snow on mountain tops and shrinking global ice caps.

"The issue of scientists behaving badly does nothing to invalidate the science," said Kevin Book, an analyst at ClearView Energy Partners, LLC in Washington. "This does nothing to the U.S. climate bill, which will be decided mostly by economic forces, not environmental ones."
