On the one hand, I suspect the number of people who will be convinced that you a shill for Teh Big Nuke on one guys say so is pretty small, and unlikely to include any intellectual giants, so there's no real harm to be done.

This is extremely non-trivial. Why 2030? I dunno. We could spend 4% of world GDP by 2050 I suppose. That is the benchmark we already seem to be setting ourself, yet we spend about 0.2%, or two hundredths the world GDP on renewables, so we will most certainly not even hit the moved goalposts if we wanted to.

Really, it's bad. We need revolution. :(
