by comparison. When I take off from a street light (typically a dangerous maneuver for cyclists), I leave all the cars in the dust.

An electric car that's adequately powered is always going to feel a lot zippier than any gas powered car, IMO.

I'm waiting for the lead/acid/carbon nanotube batteries to come through the pipeline, though, until I bite. Until then, it's a little 4 chipmunk econocar for me.

10. Eh, if you have enough torque to spin the tires at will it doesn't matter what's under the hood..
Traction is the limiting parameter on high performance cars, particularly front wheel drive ones.

I went to a Tesla dealership a week back but all they would let me do was sit in it. Guess they knew I couldn't afford it...

15. At a public event on Sunday Nissan estimated $28-32K
(around $25K with fed tax rebate) and the current plan is to lease the batteries.
