Sky Ceilings - Virtual views with LED energy savings
Work in a tight little cubicle? Have a small or dark windowless room?
Let the 'great outdoors' in.

I am editing my original response to you after seeing this on their website:

Introducing SkyV™: HD Virtual Skylights Bring the Events of the Sky Inside.

What is SkyV? SkyV is a ceiling-mounted system of HD LCD screens integrated into a patent-pending, faux skylight framework. The system includes multi-channel graphics processors and specialized synchronization software for display of its terabytes of proprietary HD content. SkyV simulates a real skylight, presenting hours of visual content captured from beneath beautiful skies and trees world-wide.

Who should use SkyV? SkyV will be used by those who wish to enrich any interior environment where the goal is fusion of cutting-edge design and extreme occupant delight. Applications include: hospitality (casinos, restaurants, hotel lobbies), healthcare (radiology suites, waiting and treatment areas), corporate (board rooms, offices and conference rooms) and residential (dining, home theater and bedroom). A new and innovative architectural design concept, SkyV takes a major step forward in bringing the realism, universality and physiological benefits of nature to interior environments.

SkyV is available for viewing fall 2008 and for purchase in the first quarter of 2009.

9. Or when the Death Panel sentences us to death
And we get to watch the HD as they are giving us the death shot. Kinda like Soylent Green movie.

Just :sarcasm: .

4. It's pretty and all but don't we have rules about such blatant plugging?
Not that I don't find it very interesting.
I work in the AV business. my company makes signal processors and the like but this feels like it's a little over the top.

5. This isn't Dover's company or anything ...
... so no, it isn't "blatant plugging", simply informing people of
what is available.

6. Thanks Nihil, for responding for me. I found this product shown in 'green' publication I get.
I do tend to post about new products/materials when I see something intersting.
Hope that's not considered plugging them.

Just for the record, I have no affiliation at all with this product/company.
And I'm not even recommending it. I feel pretty certain most of us couldn't
even AFFORD it...lol! It's mainly for commercial and high end use.

8. No mention of pricing
I suspect that if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.
