Trumpeter Swans return to Arkansas

This is part of an experiment to see if swans raised in Iowa can be brought to Arkansas to winter and then return north. It started because a couple of years ago two wild trumpeters landed at the mill pond in Boxley Valley and stayed there. The valley is part of the headwaters of the Buffalo National River, and development is restricted there. It is nice to drive by and see the swans. Hope the experiment works in the long run.

1. They have been doing this for at least 10 yrs in Heber Springs
and they are beautiful to watch,,,
