Biomass Plant Proposed For Connecticut
http://www.aer-online.com/splash.phtml

A 30 MW biomass power plant is being proposed for central Connecticut.

The company behind the project, Tamarack Energy of Essex, Conn., is seeking to build the plant in an industrial zone near Route 8 and Echo Lake Road in Watertown, and it has already a 33-acre industrially zoned site. The proposed Watertown Renewable Power project will use 310,000 tons of wood from forest-thinning projects in New York and New England, old pallets and wood chips to generate 218 million kWh of power for approximately 30,000 homes.
