Relicensing opponents establish Web site
Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 10/11/07

Nearly two months after a pro-nuclear coalition formed, opponents of an effort to keep the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant in Lacey open until 2029 announced a new Web site Wednesday.

The Web site — www.truthaboutoystercreek.org — is part of the Stop the Relicensing of Oyster Creek (STROC) alliance's quest to close the plant, according to an e-mailed statement.

"In an effort to change negative public opinion, the nuclear industry has launched an aggressive public relations campaign aimed (at) downplaying public concern and building support for a 20-year license extension at Oyster Creek," the statement says.

The announcement of the new anti-Oyster Creek Web site follows the August announcement of the creation of the New Jersey Affordable, Clean, Reliable Energy Coalition (NJ ACRE) — an Exelon-funded group.

2. "Instead of New Jersey ACRE, they should be calling themselves New Jersey Faker"
"Instead of New Jersey ACRE, they should be calling themselves New Jersey Faker. This is a front group," remarked state Sierra Club head Jeff Tittel.

4. It is true that illiterate New Jerseyans oppose the state's largest single source of climate change

gas free energy.

It cannot be said that scientific illiteracy is absent here. We have our share of religious mystics with poor educations to be sure.

Of course, it is also true that the paid off fossil fuel apologists are just itching to dump more dangerous fossil fuel waste in New Jersey, because basically they couldn't care less who they kill - nad let's be clear - they kill for money.

The anti-Shoreham movement was started and funded by NIMBY shit for brains rich people in Lloyd's Neck, and as a result, Long Island is in severe danger of going under water.

In fact - in spite of the representations of shit for brains "by 2050" creeps, the single largest thing New Jersey can do to fight climate change is to tell the Walmart fucks to, well, fuck off.

We will fight to save our beaches here and we will fight to save our air, and we will fight ignorance by saving Oyster Creek.

The vast majority of the carbon dioxide released by Oyster Creek was released before 1969.

It is unsurprising that our shit-for-brains anti-nukes couldn't care less about the dangerous fossil fuel waste implications.

The anti-nuclear movement is trying to injure my children with its inability to understand even the most primitive facts about the cost of external energy. I take this neo-creationist ignorance highly personally because it is personal.

My family breathes the air here, and I despise the shit-for-brains worshipers of the ignorant paid off Oracle at Snowmass. We'd had enough of that fuck living in the rarefied air above the tree line, where the fucking air pollution he couldn't care less about doesn't lodge in his useless lung tissue.

I have not had the time to be active in this fight, but I pretty much have a standing invitation to tour Oyster Creek. I should probably respond to it, because even though New Jersey is going to suffer severe damage from the work of ignorant paid off anti-nuke fucks, we should all do what we can to save what we can.
