FACTBOX-Largest U.S. bankruptcies (CIT number 4)

NEW YORK, Nov 1 (Reuters) - CIT Group Inc (CIT.N), a major
lender to small and mid-sized U.S. businesses, on Sunday filed
for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company had assets of $71 billion and total debt of $65
billion as of June 30, according to its petition filed in the
U.S. bankruptcy court for the Southern District of New York. The following is a list of large U.S. bankruptcies since
