2. Those things did happen while he was president. But,
Clinton also cut COLA increases for SS recipients and signed legislation that repealed the Glass-Steagal laws which were
put in place to prevent the recent spate of financial crimes at large firms. Good things happened during Clinton's terms,
but some of the things that Clinton MADE happen weren't so good.

4. Prison population exploded and homelessness and food bank usage went up
Bubbles aren't real production. Not Clinton tech bubbles or Bush real estate bubbles.

5. You forgot about a few things...
1. Repeal of Glass-Steagall, the measure that separated investment banking from commercial banking. This occurred with the full support of the Clinton WH and his economic team.

2. NAFTA and the neverending promotion of "free trade" and "open markets" that led to increased offshoring and the insanity of the "service economy".

3. Refusal to regulate derivatives. When Brooksley Born, a federal regulator, recommended rules regarding the regulation of financial derivatives, she was shoved aside by Larry Summers, Bob Rubin and Alan Greenspan. Rubin and Summers were Clinton's #1 and #2 men at Treasury.

4. The whittling away of the last vestiges of substance surrounding presidential politics, and replacing it with policy driven by single-issue polling. For an excellent description of this, I suggest watching Part 4 of Adam Curtis's excellent BBC documentary, "The Century of the Self". You can check it out at Google Video.

Anyone can throw out a bunch of statistics to support any idea they throw out there. The real test lies in a deeper qualitative analysis of his overall performance. Personally, I think that Clinton will be looked at little different from Reagan, Bush I and Bush II in fascilitating the financial services takeover of the economy and government.

6. wealthy got larger tax cuts under Clinton then Bush II
reappointed Greenspan
Clinton is Wilson
just a less repulsive conservative in the middle of the Republican tide
the best thing about Clinton is he was a good administrator. He blew the chance he had for health care reform, and passed mo progressive reforms in 8 years.
I will add I voted for him twice, and would again since the other choice was far worse then Clinton.
