Bank # 21 closed today. Link:
Omni National Bank, Atlanta, GA

On a Friday, as usual.

This the 21st bank to close since Jan. 09
In 2008, a total of 25 banks closed.
In 2007, 3 banks closed.

1. a dispoportional amount are in North Georgia. What's up with that?
Most of the banks only had one small branch. Were they fronts for legalized theft?

2. Max Cleeland was from Georgia. Any connection?
The GOP ran a dirty campaign and defeated him. Maybe they were messing with other things in the state for campaign contributions? Just a thought...

Maybe there were just a lot of bad banks in Ga?

4. I think it had a lot to do with bad loans...
to developers, etc.

Are you from Georgia? Atlanta has sprawled out everywhere and the North Georgia mountains were getting diced & julienned into little mountain-home developments.

That's my belief and I'm sticking to it.
