FEMA Temporary Jobs (TV in TN)

FEMA has announced they are looking to hire temporary workers to help in the delivery of services to victims of Hurricane Katrina in the gulf coast area. Here are the positions they are looking to fill:


General Administrative Support $15.00 per hour
Community Relations Field Officers $15.00 per hour
Computer Specialists $30.00 per hour
Documentation Specialists $18.00 per hour
Equal Rights Specialist $30.00 per hour
Funds Control Technician $15.00 per hour
GIS Specialists $25.00 per hour
Inventory/Supply Technicians $11.00 per hour
Mobile Home Specialists $13.00 per hour
Reports Technicians $15.00 per hour
Switchboard Operators $11.00 per hour
Travel Voucher Clerks $15.00 per hour

These positions are temporary and require that you be available to work 12 hour shifts (typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) seven days a week .

To apply for any of these positions, please submit your resume to FEMA, Job Opportunities, U.S. Post Office Box 6789, D’Iberville, MS, or fax to (228) 523-8481. Resumes may also be submitted to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security at 2306 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39535. Resume should include your Social Security Number, contact information (home phone, cellular phone, etc.) a self-certification of U.S. citizenship, work experience, education and special skills. Once your resume is submitted, the Human Resource staff will review for qualifications. Positions require that you be a U.S. citizen. <snip>

2. I'd bet that restriction applied only to direct FEMA hires and not ..
.. to the employees of companies contracting with FEMA ...
