Dollar another blow to tourism, RBC says - Canada
Don't expect Canada's battered tourism industry to make a comeback anytime soon, says a report from Royal Bank of Canada.

As the effects of the Sept. 11 attacks, the war in Iraq, the outbreak and then re-emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome start to fade, the sky-high dollar will keep the number of tourists visiting Canada at anemic levels.

The bank sees depressed tourism-related spending to shave next year's GDP growth by 0.5 percent.
