A survey has ranked Canada as the No. 1 country in which to conduct business over the next five years, pointing to tax cuts, a Liberal victory in Quebec and a strong infrastructure.
That shot of good news comes as Canada recently fell in a United Nations ranking of countries to live in.
The Economist Intelligence Unit, an arm of the Economist magazine, said Canada has unseated the Netherlands. Rounding off the top five are Finland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The survey said Canada scored well in the 10 categories, pointing out scores on its infrastructure, its open regime for foreign trade and capital and market opportunities.
