AFL-CIO: 3 min. downld 4 newslttr: someone tell them, some DU-er in AFL
They had this same glitch for over six months. My emails ignored. Then i posted here about it, and it {surprise!} got fixed for a month.

Now it is back!

Someone here who is in AFLCIO, pls tell the honchos their newsletter is no longer read by me and thousands of others because of a glitch making it a 3 1/2 minute dialup download... plus major odd problems with my cpr after i download one.. like freezups and disconnects. Other dnlds take ten or less sec.

"Build a working people's" is the title it had on my screen bar, and the source was PeoplePower@aflcio, and the sender was their subgroup called Working Families.

I am not a phone person by nature, i use emails. They ignored many emails from me last time.. the six month time... so my first try at reaching them this time is via this DU post.. which seemed the only thing that worked last time.

The long download is doubtless losing them thousands of readers.
Lost me again for sure.

PS the new site section Voices, .. while you have the ear of the AFL honchos, tell them to put more than five posts per page.. try using the DU format of headlines-only and even to get the DU forum ... php... software so we can do threads.
The Voices software must be freeware junk. Doesnt AFL have tekkie members?

Trudging thru five posts per page is so slow on dialup, i only look at a few pages/day.

1. over and over you have been told how to fix this
which is to simply request "plain text" only emails.

No one else has this problem and I explained previously, in enormous
detail that is was a problem on your end. I examined the HTML
code in the mail and pointed to a series of reasons, again
on YOUR COMPUTER and YOUR ISP as to why there might be a problem.

I'm sorry, I am a computer engineer and constantly posting this
is beyond ridiculous.

Either fix your computer and request plain text messages or
cancel the email and read it on the web...

but posting this over and over in the economics section of
DU is really unbelievable.

Is that the magazine that the AFL_CIO is cutting to save money (announced with about a hundred layoffs at hq)?
