Any doubt that Dems are much better at economics than neonuts?
The below paragraph is just a taste of what Michael Kinsley has written in the LA Times about the FACTS concerning our economy and where each party has taken us when in power.
Memorize some of these facts for the next time a Republican economic "genius" tries to tell you they are the responsible ones with taxpayers' money.....

Kinsley:

Under Republican presidents since 1960, the federal deficit has averaged $131 billion a year. Under Democrats, that figure is $30 billion. In an average Republican year the deficit has grown by $36 billion. In the average Democratic year it has shrunk by $25 billion. The national debt has gone up more than $200 billion a year under Republican presidents and less than $100 billion a year under Democrats. If you start counting in 1981 or attribute responsibility with a year's delay, the numbers change, but the bottom line doesn't: Democrats do Republican economics better than Republicans do.

rest of the article (good stuff):

1. Some clarification.
If he is saying that, if you look at the numbers, then those in the general population VOTING for Republicans for economic reasons must not know that much about economics, yes, he's right. If he's saying that what the Republicans SAY is good for the economy is in fact BAD for the economy, yes, he's right.

The argument that the Republicans in power don't know what they're doing with the economy, however, is false, and to claim that what their doing is a product of ignorance or mistake is also wrong.

Their agenda is quite clear, IMO. Their economic plan is quite effective. Just look at any/all of the numbers.

The point we must keep in mind is that they're able to SELL that agenda to those who are most worse off for it. They're also able to sell pollution, fake wars, higher medical costs, lower wages, reduced rights in court, lower competition in the marketplace and much more.
