Repug sighting at F 9/11 - Tampa
Went to see F 9/11 in Tampa (Hyde Park theater) Friday night with my daughter and her girlfriend. An obviously wealthy couple sat next to us in the back row. We figured they were repugs slumming it, which was confirmed when the guy started saying "Bullshit!!" and "That's a lie!!" after every scene.

We ran into them outside and asked them what they thought. They said it made some good points, but the presentation wasn't balanced or truthful. The guy said that folks forget that we were attacked on 9/11, parroting the repug line. I don't get why they still do this! Who buys it?

We replied that we still don't have Bin Laden and we hoped the movie it would help get Bush out of office so the country could finally move in the right direction. The guy then stormed off!

1. That's one brave freeper
At the showing we went to the audience was all over one guy who kept making loud comments during F911. And this guy was heckling Bush (although rather lamely)!

2. LOL, who ya gonna believe?
Hannity, Rush, Faux, or you own lying eyes?

I went for a second time this weekend - took my kids. Anyway, in the bathroom afterwards an old guy was tlaking to another old guy. Their conversation, which was overheard by the whole room, went something like this:

Old guy 1: Hey, Bob, ya seeing the movies? (duh)

Old guy 2: yep, but I sure wouldn't recommend what we watched

Old guy 1: Yeah?

Old guy 2: Yeah, a real stinker, very annoying - I can't figure out why it's so popular.

Old guy 1: That bad, huh?

Old guy 2: Yeah, the kids had to see it, so I went along with them, wish I wouldn't have.

Old guy 1: That bad, huh? What did you see?

at this point, people stopped peeing, faucets were turned off, ears were visibly turned to hear the answer.

Old guy 2: Dodgeball, what a piece of crap.

and the conversation returned to normal. I loved it - was expecting this highly Republican area to be up in arms - not so.

3. How old are your kids?
My son is about to be 11, and I'd really like for him to see it, but am uncertain as to the violence.

What do you think?

4. A 13 yr old and a twelve
both girls. Neither thought the violence was worse than what they see on TV news. I went to see it beforehand to make certain. I think they both found it valuable.

5. I'm 11...and I'm seeing it tomorrow.
My mom isn't liberal to that extent, regarding movies..but since its just war violence seen on CNN every day, I'm going to see it with my mom.
