Fox News caught setting up biased news story?
Here is an ad posted by someone at Fox News apparently looking for "experts" for a news story they were working on.

Our first entry comes from Elisa Cho of Fox News:

TODAY/EDUCATION: LIBERAL BIAS AT COLLEGES - FOX NEWS CHANNEL (US) I'm looking for academic "experts" who can speak about the "liberal bias" at college campuses and/or the dominance of liberal professors at colleges. I prefer someone who has written a book about this topic. No phone calls, please.
Need leads by 03:00 PM US/Eastern MAY 20

Check out the link to the blog for an analysis of how Fox was trying to add bias to their "news" story by searching for experts that will agree with the existing Fox bias.

More proof that Fox doesn't report the news, they make it.

3. of course there is liberal bias on campus; that's where the smart people
are. what's the big deal; the majority of people with a high school degree vote democratic; more with a bachelor's vote repug and those with higher degrees vote dem. so effin' what?

4. They "report", you "decide"
because they're the "news" "experts"

5. Sheesh - the irony
A mega-biased organization (posing as a news org) caught in the midst of promoting that bias via a "story" on bias.

what a stain on journalism

7. "I don't know why others are so hesitant in attacking FOX"
I think it's because FOX is constantly attacking their liberal bias. If you ever watch FNC notice how often they attack other news organizations. It really is their only defense whenever they do anything wrong. Isn't it a consumer axiom to be suspicious of a business that spends an inordinate time slagging it's competition?

Worst offender: O'Reilly.

8. Blame it on CNN
All they had to do was fight back in the beginning. By not doing that, they have legitimized Fox. The people at Fox keep reporting that a high % of people in most news organizations are liberal. CNN has to get some courage and say that as long as a journalist keep her/his opinion out of the news, unlike what happens at Fox, then the journalists views don't matter much - unlike Fox.
