call Alan Colmes show, 866-236-9548, tell him off
if you think he wasn't as good as he could be with Dean tonite,
or to say how the Hannity show looks very uneven and unfair, how he doesn't give the best arguments.

it's time to take down Faux from the inside.

perhaps we should work to toughen Alan up or something?

you can listen to the show at
http://www.mindsnare.com/clients/ksev/radiopop.html

www.alan.com

or maybe it's just hopeless, maybe he will never do as well as he should...

1. Oh he was doing the job he was hired for...

He was being the liberal strawman.

Fox propaganda wouldn't be as effective if they didnt have a pathetic fake liberal to kick around.

2. but if he started speaking out more, would Faux just up and fire him?
i don't think they could get away with that very well... i think he's in a position to really start bitchslapping Hannity if he would only just DO IT! but he doesn't...

3. Yes they would fire him.

You really have a hard time understanding what Fox News is, don't you?

5. no no no, i very much understand. BUT
if they fired him over politics, or because he starts to posture and shape the discussion like Hannity always does, it could easily become a media scandal of sorts, and he could speak out about it, and the channel's cover of being 'balanced' would be further blown.

4. He can't
His contract specifically states that he is not allowed to rough up Hannity.

Fox deliberately did this. The original name of the show was Hannity & LTBA. Hannity and Liberal to be Announced.

6. Hannity doesn't rough up Alan either, but he does control everything
on the show, is always allowed to shape the discussion, talks more, and overall is the star of the show.

if Colmes stood up to that, started acting more like Hannity (from our side, though, of course), and then got fired, i think it would be a story.

7. Al Franken had a chapter on it in his book
In one episode, for example, Hannity spoke like 2100 words, and Colmes spoke 1200. That's almost 2X more . lol

11. i'm aknowledging that fact and looking to try to change it.
by saying that maybe we should start to engage him more.

maybe the link to his show should be at the top of the page with the other online radio links...

that's pretty much the whole point of my post, actually...

10. that show reminds me of a pro wrestling match
The end result is determined before the show ever begins. We at home are to pretend its real. Between the two I think pro wrestling is easier to accept as real.

14. what's really funny
Is that most of the "liberals" are actually very moderate and then the hyper-conservatives attack them and start to make moderate positions look ridiculous! It's not that hard to make anything look wrong if its 2 or 3 on one. Like last Sunday on Fox News Sunday, I thought Juan Williams was going to kill Brit Hume. You could tell he was super pissed. Of course it does get frustrating when someone you're trying to have a political conversation with can't tell the difference between world war 2 and this lame war on terrorism.
