With much legislative activity on stolen votes via BBV-why no Nat'l Media?

Other than the Sunday 1/18/2004 NYT op-ed that mentions the Broward County Florida fiasco (law requires recount of close special State House election – but that is impossible since no paper trail) and urges Congress to pass Holt's bill, knocks the use of Internet voting in Michigan primaries and the Defense Department's SERVE program.

Verified voting notes how the National Media have ignored this “Florida Problem” and the corresponding ruling by U.S. District Judge Wayne Alley that Duval County, FL. is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act and must provide the blind and disabled with voting machines that have an audio system – and that rulings possible far-reaching effects on the use of optical scan machines (http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/state/7719248.htm), while also ignoring the Fairfax County, Virginia January 9, 2004 report by a county GOP committee that declares that the touch screen voting machines used in the November election a "failure” do to the need to remove 10 malfunctioning machines during the election - an action the

Now the law that prohibits North Carolina from using paper ballots or BBV s verifiable paper receipts is being being lobbied by Joyce McCloy, Coordinator of the North Carolina Coalition for Verified
Voting [e-mail] - and there are 5 Ohio counties refusing the Ohio Sec of State order to use BBV until security issues are settled, and not joining in the purchase of 10,000 machines are also not being followed in the national media (http://tinyurl.com/2yjzg), both not being followed by Nat'l media.
