Media Matters sends odd emails.
A couple weeks ago I found Media Matters and signed up for their email notices. (Boy, they send a bunch, too, don't they?) I like them and everything, and I appreciate what they do and that they have such a sharp eye but...

they also have a real knack for the obvious! Has anyone noticed?

When they report something incorrectly reported in a newspaper or a news report I really appreciate it and that's exactly why I signed on. I think everyone should.

But I just gotta laugh when they point out something that Bill O'liely said or something Anne Coulter or Robert Novak said, or a guest said on Hannity and Colmes. I think, "Well, DUH! Of COURSE it's misleading! They're freakin' rightwinger pundit shows!"

All joking aside...

I kinda wish they wouldn't analyze shows/people who are obviously and painfully biased. By picking out only certain things they say, it implies that everything else was credible. Better to dismiss them wholesale, IMHO.

Opinions?

1. Well, it is their mission...
to document their lies. Why would anyone expect them to not point out the most obvious of those?

2. Just consider it
a thankfully abbreviated summary of whatever current bullshit is floating around always good to keep tabs on

3. He comes out of the RW and knows first hand how much
facts are distorted, lies are told, ugly campaigns are initiated against Dems. This is his mission -- to show the ugliness on a day-by-day basis. Some of those who believe these RW pundits and/or talking heads are seeking the truth, nearly daily. They won't go back into the archives to find stuff -- it has to be readily available about what is being said NOW, everyday.

He's not really doing this as "preaching to the choir" -- he's doing it for those who are seeking accuracy or the truth.

I think he does a fabulous job.

4. Nobody else is questioning the RW media
The RW media spreads lies that sometimes hit the mainstream media. I'm very glad somebody is pointing out a small fraction of these untruths.
