Goodbye, Unfiltered - Hello, Jerry

Springer signing with Air America. I would think this means the end of 'Unfiltered.' Unless perhaps it moves to the weekend. I've also heard Janeane may be leaving TMR and Rachel Maddow will be taking her place. Janeane has a new TV show coming out apparently.

UPDATE: Rachel confirmed on 'Unfiltered' a bit ago that the show is indeed being replaced with Jerry.

1. Interesting
I have listened to Springer online and he is great. I did like Unfiltered, though, and will be said to see that show go. I never really like Janeane much. I felt she was there for name value. Rachael Maddow is brings more to the table in my opinion.

to tape a TV pilot.

I'd like to see Rachel join the Morning Sedition team, or failing that, get a pair a weekend slots like Laura Flanders.

I think it's wise of her to keep her day job.

6. Development for Maddow
I read in an article about Springer coming to AAR that Rachel Maddow and Chuck D were going to stay with AAR with AAR finding a program for them. I would like to see Rachel be a utility player, stepping in when some one is on vacation or sick.

7. With all the replays, they need a pinch hitter
Sometimes it seems like Air America has about two weeks of original programming a month, with the rest being "Best of" shows. Plus the weekends.

If they had Rachael and Chuck D to fill some of that repeat time, it'd be almost like they had a regular show.

They're both great, and Air America would be idiots if they lose them.
