By ANGELA DOLAND
ASSOCIATED PRESS

ROME - Left-wing journalist Giuliana Sgrena claimed U.S. soldiers gave no warning before they opened fire...

-------------------------

The first sentence sure sets the tone doesn't it?
"Left-wing"? Why were those the first words and what do they have to do with the story?
So are the readers suppose to read in to this, "take it with a grain of salt". Or that she could be lying...you know how those "left-wingers" are.
Jeezus H. I just don't get it.

:grr:

1. I noticed the same thing
If she had been from a conservative paper, would they say 'right-wing'? Somehow I don't think so.

2. Problem: she writes for the wrong paper
I am sure her family does not feel her being shot at like say a women from FOX news.Lovely we can look at the world and things like this in this way.

3. Sounds good. Perhaps we should start employing the same

methodology. I saw Right Wing journalist Tucker Carlson...I heard Right Wing journalist Tom Brokaw...I read on the Right Wing AP...

The AP just admitted that all journalism has a bias based on the paper, wire service or TV network they work for. Giuliana Sgrena must be Left Wing because she works for a communist paper, therefore if you work for a corporate paper, you must be Right Wing, but because we are Right Wing we won't report that.

Maybe it's time we started reporting it.

4. I like it
Let's do it. When we refer to corporate media types, let's preface it by "right wing journalist Brian Williams said..." It's an excellent way to note and remind others of the bias.
