where Clinton won, and the Dems were still in power.
I'm serious about this.
Were there any editorial examples in the MSM where the media was saying that the Republican party was dead in the water?
I have been looking over the editorial pages of late 1992 early 1993 in the Akron Beacon Journal (a slow and tedious process - all on microfilm), and I encountered exactly one editorial where the left-leaning columnist was gloating over GHWB and the Repugs' loss to WJC.
There was also an article on the Religion page (on a Saturday) where the Religious Right was saying "We're not giving up the fight, we're regrouping and going to come out swinging!".
Anybody have any help on this? I would like to see some prime examples of the "left calling the Right dead in the water."
I do remember one Right columnist, well before the election, saying that GHWB handed the election to Bill Clinton.
Please?
