Do they usually do a pretty good broadcast? I don't watch much TV, I'm afraid.
Najaf was first story, as I recall, the Sadr/Sistani "deal" with Pentagon sources expressing skepticism that it would do any good.
Then there was the Census Bureau report on skyrocketing poverty and medical indigence was second (with a great little clip of John Kerry in MN, an emphasis on the health insurance cost crisis, the jobless "recovery", and the 17% increase in child poverty), and later on down the broadcast was a story about McCain story in the NYT and a not-to-flattering-to-pres byte or two of McCain expressing his wish that Bush would condemn the Smearboat ads.
Tonight, ABC's first few minutes were substance.
And I saw John Kerry discussing domestic issues clearly and Bush mumbling shit about tax cuts.
Not a good night of news for the United States, but not a bad day of news coverage and presentation for the Kerry effort.
Wow, now ABC is even covering Sudan.
