2. New Jersey isn't New England, but I voted for Frank Lautenberg.
I think the country is well served by the Democratic Senators who are senior citizens. They don't give a rat's ass about being re-elected and say exactly what they think.

Nothing as spoken quite so well of Robert Byrd's career as the stellar way he is ending it. The same goes for Frank, who saved the Democratic Party in New Jersey from the Torrecelli mess.

5. Have Lived in PA and Maine
There is NO way that NJ is in any way shape or form a New England state. This is not meant as any kind of a put down of NJ, it's just that it's a mid-atlantic atate!

6. I know it's not part of New England
But New Jersey has such great senators I had to include them here. Frank Lautenberg is my choice.

7. Do we need a lesson in politics or geography?
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 09:06 AM by Tharesa
Chaffee backed the filibuster when Jeffords did not, but does this make all Duers who like them freepers?

One more thing, Tharesa don't believe N.J. counts as New England state...unless you wish to include Pennsylvania and New York as well!

11. Lautenberg
He is a fantastic senator. I generally prefer him to Corzine but both are very good. I do have a problem that both self-finance their campaigns. That is just undemocratic and I wish they didn't.

I know others have said it but New Jersey is certainly not New England.
