3. you should know it isn't since you bash him every single day
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 02:25 AM by CMT
with one post after another. Get real. Stop acting like a victim.

Look at the front page of Politics and Campaigns and you'll see the following threads:

Dean Practices the Politics of Division in fundraising letter
Poll: Kerry beats Dean among registered voters
Harold Ford Jr. to be Kerry co-chair...
Kerry gains 11-points on Dean in NH (a deceptive headline since Kerry actually gained only 3-points)
Kerry raised $140,000 in one day.
Howard Dean should Head Own Advice
Kerry Fundraising at 700,000...

Then we have several positive posts by the Kucinich campaign:
Standing Room Only and overflow crowd at Kucinich event
Appeal from Dennis Kucinich
Message from Ed Asner, Elliot Gould...
Dennis to...Luguna

Then other threads such as "Russ Feingold for VP"

So as you can see DU doesn't inhibit any campaigns from expressing their views. To there credit the Kucinich campaign tends to be the most positive when they post. Some people connected with other campaigns (including Dean's at times) can't get a point across unless they bash another candidate.

5. I haven't seen any Democrat speeches on TV
except for the announcements of Edwards and Clark. I have heard Kucinich on Tape and Kerry. I like the extreme liberal message of Kucinich, but I feel that he is a bit out of step with what we need in a Prez. With a republican congress we need more of a centrist. Kerry would be my choice of someone who can actually beat GW. He at least has some smarts on how DC works and is liberal enough not to cave entirely. Clark is still just a media propped up empty suit, with no real substance. Dean puffs and pouts like a spoiled kid, reminding me too much of GW. Lieberman might as well join the GOP. Please, Mrs. Clinton stay in NY. I sure miss Al Gore.

Kucinich, Graham, Braun, Edwards & Sharpton should all decide who to throw their support behind and narrow the filed to those who have the poll numbers and finances to go the race. It would simplify and clarify the issues for most voters to have fewer candidates to listen to.

Nice to have you here! I, too, like most of what Kucinich has to say, but we have to have a nominee who will beat Bush!!

15. Edwards supporters are positive
Just like the candidate, the Edwards supporters here mostly promote their candidate.
DU is for everyone. One thing that still happens but was really a problem before is how Dean supporters would hijack threads about other candidates. It gets better all the time, which is terrific because if you go to a thread about Kucinich, it is probably because you want to read or talk about Kucinich not Dean.

19. I am sure you can cite this, right?
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 09:21 AM by dsc
I am sure you can not only show Dean supporters doing this on a regular basis and doing so more often than it is one to us. To show just one example of the literally dozens and dozens I could come up with this thread from GD.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=419316&mesg_id=419316

Out of 42 posts (including the original) 9 of them are anti Dean screeds. This is hardly the best example but just the easiest for me to find. Time, after time, after time, after time I have started positive threads on Dean and time, after time, after time, after time they have been trashed. So again it is time for you to put up.

Yet another example. This one is particularly glaring due to my obeying a proscription against posting in the Washington insiders thread but my thread got hijacked.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=108&topic_id=44989

Again well over 1/4 of the posts trash Dean and several discuss other candidates. put up here.

25. There was a thread posted about Washington candidates
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 11:27 AM by dsc
in which Dean supporters, by name, were told not to comment. I honored that but posted my thread instead on Dean and gays. The insider thread was on things those candidates had done in Congress. On edit I note you found not one example to back up your slam of Dean supporters. Can I expect a mea culpa?

26. I support Dean, but like Edwards too
I want either Clark or Edwards to be Dean's VP. I want to watch Clark awhile longer to see how he does before deciding if I think he's best for VP. It's been a rocky start for him and I need to see if things "stick" to him. If he doesn't do that well, I'd prefer Edwards. I don't think he has enough experience to be president yet, but I think at some point he's going to be president.

Yes in that all DUers who are playing with a full deck are Dean supporters. No in that all DUers are not playing with a full deck.

Oh...the topic. No, not everyone is a Dean supporter. But lots are. And, just like the rest of DU and humanity, most are good to get to know.

12. Snivel, whine and snivel
You sure are spreading that whine around. Your post on kos, aside from being monumentally rude, took the cake for whininess. But it was inadvertently one of the funniest posts ever. Maybe you should spend more of your time at the Kerry blog if you can't take the rough and tumble of other blogs and boards. Talk about being able to dish it out but not being able to deal with incoming.

21. That comment on Daily Kos was right on.
He had the gall to suggest Kerry had had a bad week. Evem though he received quite a few raves about hius debate performance. He also suggested that the endorsements from Shaheen and teh firefighters meant nothing. How couyld he say something like that unless he knows nothing about politics. Those endorsements are precisely the type of endorsements that do help in primary fights. They were key to Al Gore success in the primaries and will be key for Kerry's. DailyKos is simply Dean Blog II.

There's about as many Clark supporters as Dean supporters, and also a lot of Kucinich supporters. However, each candidate except Lieberman, Moseley Braun, and Sharpton have a respectable contingent.

32. Not at all, DJ! Some are just "winging it."
This place exists for ALL left-leaning DEMOCRATS. Some are more Democratic than others.

My yardstick is: Does the poster believe that all people are created equal, and thus treats others like he or she would like to be treated? If so, they're a Democrat.

35. I think it's likely...
... that the percentage of suporters for each candidate her is roughly equivalent to the overall support among politically interested people, including those who have never heard of DU.

If Dean seems to have a lot of support here it may well reflect the fact that he has a lot of support elsewhere as well.
