If the CA recall fails do we still get to see the gov. election results?

If it fails then the who won the 'election' is mute. But I wonder if California law requires disclosure of the results?

Of course, our best scenario is that the recall fails, the Lt. Gov gets the most votes and Arnold loses badly. On the other hand if the recall fails and Arnold 'wins' what does this mean to him and politically in general?

1. It Would Probably be His "Terminator" Office!

He couldn't be Prez or VP since he wasn't born in the USA. This is what would keep Gov. Grinholm (spelled right?) off of a national ticket.

He might run for the senate, but I can't fathom him winning. Then again, I couldn't fathom the 2nd place finisher being president.

california's political system is such a clusterfuck that it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have to disclose anything (yes, I'm from there). If NO passes, it would render the recall moot, so technically they would probably have a way around reporting anything.
