FL to succumb to the lure of big bucks, CHINESE BUCKS!!
There is such a thing as a perfect storm and I learned that this morning. FL taxpayers are about to be taken by the ultimate scam. FL taxpayers are about to have their entire lives turned upside down and their quality of life lost to them and future generations. With Super thief in Chief Rick Scott in the Governor's Mansion and the irresponsible, lackluster state legislature, the people of FL are about to be plucked cleaner than a Thanksgiving goose. Casinos are coming to FL and not just any casino. The Genting Corporation, a malaysian company, plans to invest more than $3bn in FL to build a casino resort. They also have properties in Singapore. Someone with some balls might do some background checks on the company operations instead of wearing rose colored glasses at the possibilities with all that money. Surrender FL, you are about to be the wet dream come true of OVERSEAS INVESTORS with CHINESE ties. The repugs/tbaggers have provided the perfect environment for such a MOB RULE AND TAKE OVER of your state. There is no govt in FL that is big enough or powerful enough to "fight for taxpayers", so the people of FL will not have representation at the table. This is an example of a dysfunctional govt craved by the tbaggers. A govt unable to see beyond today and willing to bend to the will of billion dollar companies (no matter their national origin) . At what point can we call the betrayal of the american constitution and the derelection of duty by public officials:TREASON?? To sell your soul condemns yourself to misery for a buck, but to put the future of thousands of US citizens on the auction block for a buck is a political evil that would even challenge GOD's sense of justice.

1. Another casino?
Are they the new 7-11s? Seems like there is one on every other corner.

In Florida Battle, Casino Cash vs. Disney Image

By LIZETTE ALVAREZ
Published: October 28, 2011

MIAMI — The battle for Florida’s tourism soul has been joined.

Genting paid $236 million for The Miami Herald building as part of a 30-acre string of bayfront properties for the casino.
On one side is the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the powerful Walt Disney Company, which strenuously advances the family-friendly vacation-postcard image through its theme parks.

On the other side are billions of dollars in resort-casino investment, beckoning to traditionally gambling-averse lawmakers at a time when the state’s economy is in the doldrums and unemployment remains stubbornly high.

The focus of the battle is a bill that, if adopted, would drastically change the profile of the gambling industry here by allowing three lavish $2 billion resort casinos to open in South Florida — Dade and Broward Counties.

By the time Rick Scott and the Rebulican House gets done with Florida, we'll be the cesspool of the USA.
