If Trump got the GOP nomination, do you think that his fame would cause him to win?
Just like many people voted for Schwarzenegger, do you think people would vote for the Donald, even though he didn't represent their beliefs?

That also goes for the social conservatives who would definitely have some issues with him.

1. He has money.
People will vote for him because he's rich and notorious on the grounds that he'll get tough on wasteful spending.

He won't; he'll outsource, he will cut necessary budgets, and he'll ruin education...just the way he runs his business.

no.
We've seen this before. It doesn't work. Trump is a product of the media, but not because of his politics. He'll flame out in the primaries.

5. Yes.
And Schwarzenegger is EXACTLY the reason. GOP voters are a special kind of stupid in that most of them voted for Bush. Twice. They think Sarah Palin is smart. That kind of stupid is easy to manipulate. Once the preachers start preaching that Trump is GAWD'S-UH choice, they'll be shoveling out their unemployment checks for Trump Prayer Cloths in no time.

8. I don't think Trump is serious about running. He's nothing
but a giant ego with legs. When push comes to shove, he'll bow out citing his obligation to his business empire.

But to more directly answer your question, he'd have a hell of a time attracting fundie votes. Twice divorced, philanderer, bankruptcies, casino holdings. Lots of baggage there.

9. Name recognition didn't help Giuliani.
Like Trump Rudy was a flawed candidate from the start in the Repuke primaries.

I doubt the Donald will get even one delegate.

votes now.

13. Unless something drastic happens, the current gaggle of Repub candidates cant unseat Pres Obama.
Our corporate overlords recognize that Pres Obama is favored by the biggest portion of the bell curve. When Obama threw the left under the bus he made big gains in the right of center group. That essentially squeezes out the right wing wack-o-doodles including Trump (the man thinks he is king). For the Repubs to win, Karl would have to come up with something major to destroy Pres Obama (find out he is a liberal...lol). Then maybe a moderate Jeb Bush could get the right of center votes and squeeze some from left of center.

Our corporate overlords havent lost much during the last two years and may be ok with waiting until 2016 before bringing the BCF back to power.

15. No way. At least Arnold presented himself well to the voters
Trump comes off as the arrogant, opportunistic, self-promoting, irresponsible, obnoxious creep that he is. Only more so as of late. He would be quickly done in by multiple self-inflicted gaffes, if not there already.

20. And Arnold at least appeared to be somewhat in tune
with the voters.
A *lot* of us Califonians are socially liberal but financially conservative.
hell, I like Greenpeace, and the World Wildlife Fund, and lots of organizations. But I'm not going to spend money I don't have, nor a dime until all the bills are paid; not for the best cause in the world. I support Marriage Equality, teacher's unions and Green Jobs, but first, last, and foremost DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE. So i confess, I like Arnold, and although I didn't vote for him I understood why he won; lot's of us understand that being financially solvent and caring for human rights are not contradictory, that there's nothing inherently evil with making a profit, that one can smoke week, donate to AIDS research and still think that taxes don't need to be above 20% ever, for anyone. And Arnold 'got' this and represented it well.
What we got, of course, was just another dirtbag without a clue. Davis was corrupt and incompetent (still better than any Republican could be, however), IMO, but Arnold was MORE corrupt and More incompetent and combined the WORST of the Democrats in the statehouse and the CEO fat cats.
Trump is just an incompetent, bloviating asshole. The right is enjoying him bloodying President Obama just like we were enjoying Grayson throwing left hooks

This is just another one of Trump's publicity stunts and a damn good one in terms of getting attention.

21. I doubt it

If this is the fame game then Obama would win hands down. He's done a masterful job of whipping up a section of the other side into angry birther rage and Trump has become their idiot king. Sensible Americans will not vote for that guy.

22. Not until he produces his birth certificate, and it's in German
Trump is really a Stasi sleeper agent stranded in the USA when East Germany collapsed. His family now
owns a grain wholesale business in the Baden-Württemberg area of the southwest. Here is their web site:

http://www.firmenwissen.de/az/firmeneintrag/71638/7330517957/T_TRUMP_GETREIDEGROSSHANDEL_GMBH.html

Donald Trump won't admit this on TV because he would pronounce "Rechtskräftige Geburtsurkunde" in flawless
German with no trace of an accent, thus revealing his true nationality. His phony blond hair is shipped over
to him regularly by his relatives. Only the staples attaching it to his scalp are made in America.

This report was supplied by Fock Snooze reporter Rubber Ails, and is to be taken as seriously as Trump's
supposed doubts about Bararck Obama's birth certificate.
