Petition Meet the Press to have a Dean/Kerry debate
On January 11, 2004, Senator John Kerry challenged Howard Dean to a debate on Meet the Press. On Sunday, February 8, 2004, also on that show, Howard Dean publicly accepted.

Apparently, Kerry is backing off, pleading to be "too busy." Whoever you support, a debate between the top two candidates in this race is important for our democracy.

Please sign the petition to MTP to urge John Kerry to follow through on his own challenge:

1. No point
Those internet petitions aren't worth the paper they're written on.

2. Why not Edwards?
I think Edwards has a better chance at getting the nomination than Dean, seeing as he's got a lot of momentum (although Tennessee and Virginia didn't help him at all, I must admit). This race is a lot more likely to come down to Edwards and Kerry than Dean and Kerry.

last September when Kerry challenged him. What happened in Feb - I must have missed that one. Are there transcripts?
