OK let's play what if.
What if your guy fails to win the nomination and we lose the general election? Who of the current candidates would you like to see back in 2008? Who do you think can stick around and remain relevant enough to be a factor in, and have a real chance at winning the nomination in 2008?

The only two of the current crop that I see still being viable in the next election cycle are Clark and Edwards.

Clark can become a talking head, keep his name in the media and build his support for the next time.

Edwards has a lot of options. He can return to elective office, return to his law practice, teach or otherwise keep his hand in and work on building a bigger base of support and organization for the next election.

6. How about a mass suicide?
Oh, wait, we don't have to. Bush will kill our kids by drafting them into endless wars on terra, and kill the rest of us by poisoning the environment, putting a tourniquet on drugs and healthcare, and letting the Bush family former friends wreak terror on us whenever we start to get all uppity about democracy. Actually, I plan to drop lots of acid, though I've never tried the stuff before. Anyone from the 60's have any advice on this?

3. Wrong question. If we lose the general election, which current candidate
would you like to see released from Gitmo?

4. If We Lose in 2004, There Won't Be Any 2008 Elections
Or if there are, they will be one-party Soviet-style elections.

7. One horrifying word, 'JEB'
Then, in 2012 Neil, after he becomes born again and swears off 12 year old Thai hookers. And next, it will be the twins, or Noelle Bush. Hell, W is a former crackhead, so she should make a fine, reformed drug addict president of 'merka (no offense to drug addicts intended).

12. Dean is the only one with the ability to raise the dough
necessary to keep him out of gitmo.
And in the public eye.

Those who underestimate the depth of committment to change his movement has are making a big mistake.
