From the "Unofficial Kerry for President" blog:

It's official: I'm withdrawing my support from John Kerry. No, I'm not running to Dean. If I support anyone at this point, it will be Clark or Gephardt. I still have a tremendous amount of respect for John Kerry and believe him to be the best qualified to be president. If he is the nominee, I will be very happy and will offer my wholeheardest support. But his campaign is just God-Awful. The clincher today was an e-mail I got accusing Howard Dean of this and that. Sure, there may be truth to it, but it's fodder for the Republicans. No candidate is perfect. No one has been consistent on every issue their whole lives. These are human beings. Dean is far from perfect, and Kerry can even point out legitimate policy differences with him. But to start digging up dirt and sending it out under the official auspices of the campaign is too much for me to stomach. It's Republican. And once Dean is the nominee, it'll be in the RNC ads.

4. By the way sfecap, try getting facts straight. Not site mentioned.
The very well know "Unofficial Kerry for President" blog is not where this came from. it is from some random Kerry website.

Also, don't get so excited. He is switching to Clark, not Dean. He also said that Kerry is the best man for the job. That is all I need to know.

5. But is it true the campaign is sending out negative mails about Dean?
That would surprise me. I think that is the point, that this guy was upset about the use of the emails from the campaign to attack Dean.

14. It was the email on Dean's actual position on Biden-Lugar and IWR.
It was the article that has been posted here at DU last week. Absolutely nothing more than Dean conceding that he did indeed, support the provision that use of force, even unilateral force, would be determined by Bush. No more, no less.

And don't f**king scold me. Thank you.

I don't care who he's switching to. I'm sure there are many like him who recognize the futility of the (so called) Kerry campaign.

I just posted it for the fact that it is interesting...and it carries a message that the Kerry people don't seem to get.

17. Why the anger?
This is part of the process. We each need to make up our own mind about the candidate that we feel we can support. I would not think of telling you that your reasons for supporting a candidate are not valid, unless you said he's cute. I have my choice and believe that he is the only one who can beat Bush in Nov. but I'm not smart enough to think that there is no chance that I am wrong.

Say why you like your candidate, say why you don't like my candidate but don't question my motives, and don't attack me because you don't agree.

8. But what if what Kerry says is true?
And what was in the email anyway? Seems like this is the missing part of the equation here so that we can determine if this blogger is credible.

9. lol, what a supporter!
I don't even know who this supposed supporter is, but with a blog like this, wow, I'm glad he's gone wherever. I suspect it's to Bush's camp.

10. The Unofficial Kerry Blog
The original Unofficial Kerry Blog is at: http://kerryblog.blogspot.com/

Thank you, do not confuse my Blog with this Kerry Blog! The owner of the Kerry Blog you are referring to has always been soft. No big surprise.

As to the "email" he got... oh please... as though Dean does not attack the other candidates in his emails. I am on Dean's list, he does plently of attacking. Thank you very much!

Get your facts straight!

11. Never goddess, never
I clicked and read the blog with the name Dan on it. That's the blog I was referring to. I thought of you and couldn't believe it. I can tell by this other blog that the supporter was "soft". Based on a couple of other situations, I have my suspicions. Check your PM for more.

18. In Iowa
Kerry is pulling forward into statistical second place with Gephardt, and Deans lead is shaky in Iowa, moving up and down frequently.

Iowan state that opposition to the Iraq War is one of the the major points in selecting a candidate and we are sure to see a great deal of re-runs of the stattementsw in which Dean stated that what should have been done was to go to the U.N. give them a 60 day ultimatum to do something about Iraq, and if they did not, we should attack unilaterally. He stated this both in September of 2002 on CBS News, as well as to Salon.Com in February, when Kerry was advising to make greater efforts to involve the United Nations, and try to avoid unilateral action, unless Iraq posed a direct threat to the U.S.

The great thing about the American Public is that they are fickle. Very soon, since Saddams capture, we can expect to see rather less sanitized videos and photos in the news of dead and tortured children, and hear a great deal ot testimony from people who were being tortured, and from families who had memebers tortures or executed during the peoriod in which debating on doing something about Hussen was being done in Congress, and it will be compared to the Roosevelt Administrations knowledge about the Nazi Concentration camps during WWII, and deciding to do nothing about them.

The more one opposed starting a war sooner than later will be the focus of criticism that hesitations caused the deathe of tens of thousands of innocent people. The more one opposed the war, the worse it will be for that candidate. And the public as I said is very fickle. One will probably see a very strong swing towards support of the war, and amnesia abour WMD's

I find it unfortunate but it's his decision. At least he's not going for the unelectable Dr.Dean.
