I've considered working out the post on the word processor and then copying and posting at DU. I suspect that's how some at least of the longer posts here are done.

how I do my long ones. Its easier for me to proof read them that way. I also compose a few on my Sony Clie handheld and then sync and post. Can't let those random thoughts get away.

4. Copy your post into a text editor before you press the "post" button

That way, if something happens with your computer, or it took you too long to write it, you'll be in a position to paste it right back into a new window and blammo! slam the post into place.
