attending rally on 9/15--on a budget

I'm thinking of heading down to DC for the rally, but I have very little spare money this month. Gasoline for the trip, and money for food may be the only things I can afford.

Does anyone know if there's some place I can park my car and sleep in it overnight? And, if so, is there somewhere I can go to get a hot shower?

Friday night, try to come to our meetup at the Hawk & Dove.

We'll also have a meeting place for the march itself, but haven't decided on one yet.

Once we know where we're meeting up on Saturday for the march, I'll start a new thread with all the details of Friday and Saturday here and in the DC forum. I'm not getting much help picking a spot from the DC people, so I may just have to pick a corner near the gathering place myself.

Check Answer's Housing Board for offers of a place to crash/shower. One of our members also has a single bed and/or floor space available, but you would be sharing with a male(s). They don't care if you don't! Here is the link, but you must first register for the Forum to access it. There is also information there about local campgrounds, and the International Youth Hostel is within walking distance of the Mall and you can get a bed and a shower for about $28.

We are driving from Toledo OH to DC on 9/14. If you are in-between, we might be able to pick you up.
