Bu$h in Jacksonville Sept. 9
Just wanted to let people know that W is planning to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of his winning the Trifecta by coming back to Florida on Sept. 9th. Of course, brother Jeb will be by his side. Should be a good day for a protest? You can even hit the beach when your done. So, come on down.

Gainesville Sun

President Bush will bring his re-election campaign here next month for a fund-raiser that's expected to raise upward of $1 million.

The reception will be on Sept. 9 in Alltel Stadium's new terrace suite, an 18,000-square-foot enclosed dining and bar area overlooking the south end zone on one side and the St. Johns River on the other. The NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars play in the stadium.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. with photo identification required and bags and briefcases subject to searches, according to invitations sent this week.

The Bush campaign is asking for $2,000 a person, the maximum allowed under federal law. Many of the hosts, however, have promised to raise $20,000 or more in bundles from other contributors.

2. Did you see Madfloridian's post last night about Jebbie privatizing
the state's Internet provider for schools? Because of that, we are losing federal funding for schools to have Internet access... No more e-mailing your kids' teachers, no more in school Internet research, no more immediate messages from your school regarding your sons' and daughters' education....

Why don't we all just roll back to the 1980's and get rid of all the improvements to our educational system that Lawton Chiles brought to us? Heck, we can pretend that the 90s never took place.
