KONG!
Anyone else like that move about the big ape? Black and white or color? Jessica Lange (hot stuff) or Fay Wray (also a hottie)?

I sort of like the older version, black and white, with the bi-planes buzzing a big monkey on the Empire State Building.

What say you? Are you a fan of the oldies?

1. Casablanca. Citizen Kane.
Not monster flicks. And I think that Jessica Lange is a great actress.

2. Bette Davis
I love her movies, all about Eve, Dark Victory, i still cry when i watch that one. Citizen Kane is pure genious and was way ahead of it's time. Also when i'm feeling catty, i love "The women" Stellar cast and kick ass story line.

3. Older Fay Wray was great but Peter Jackson could do
great stuff and Jack Black as the bad guy.

Can't wait

4. Rosebud.
Many years ago, I was in circumstances where I played poker with Roger Ebert one night (mid-1980s). Roger is a great guy. His car had the license plate "Rozebud". Some fan had bought him a vanity plate because of Roger's love for "Citizen Kane", but someone else in Illinois already had "Rosebud".

I won that night.

5. I watched the 1933 version frequently when I was kid
They often aired it on holidays. Kong's hair bristles erratically because the stop action model had fur which was pressed by a technician's hands when it was moved between shots. That gave Kong an odd appearance of energy that isn't likely to be copied today because it was an accident of a more primitive technology.
